Sacristans

About

By definition a “Sacristan” is defined as a “person in charge of the sacristy and church-related ceremonial equipment”. A sacristy is a room for keeping liturgical vestments (such as the priests’ albs, stoles and chasubles; and deacons’ albs, stoles and dalmatics) and other church furnishings, sacred vessels, and ritual books.

A Sacristan must be a baptised Catholic in good standing and a registered contributing member of the Parish. Knowledgeable of the liturgy rites. Able to work and communicate well with others. Be a “team member” and a “team player”. Is able to find spiritual nourishment and enrichment within the ministry.

About

Serving during a church Mass can be a gift to a child, not an obligation. It should be seen as a special hour and great privilege.
Your child will do and learn things that others may never, and see the Mass in ways that others don’t.
Serving on the Altar is a great place to start building skills.
Altar Servers learn skills such as communication and team work, and gain in self confidence.
All children who have received First Holy Communion to come forward to serve as Altar Servers.

Music

About

We have six masses over a weekend so always in need of great voices to join the choir’s or musicians who can play the Organ or a musical instrument.

Projectionists who are comfortable with technology are invited to manage the Laptop, Powerpoint, and song remote at Mass to screen the various hymns, prayers, and announcements.

Our various Fellowship groups always require musicians to invoke the Holy Spirit into their regular meetings.
