Parish Expectations
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE PARISH
At the Parish of the Resurrection, we are a Eucharistic community called to worship God, grow in faith, and serve one another in love. Rooted in the Gospel and guided by the Holy Spirit, we seek to build a parish family where everyone feels at home in Christ.
- Prayerful and Uplifting Liturgies
Our celebrations of the Holy Mass are Christ-centered and Spirit-filled, inviting each person to encounter the living God through Word and Sacrament. - A Place of Ongoing Conversion and Renewal
We believe that faith is a journey. Here, you will be encouraged to grow ever closer to Christ and to become the person God created you to be. - Recognition of Your God-Given Gifts
Each member of our parish is a vital part of the Body of Christ. Your gifts and talents are valued, and we encourage you to use them in service to God and His people. - Opportunities for Service and Mission
The Lord calls us to serve one another with humility and love. Our parish provides many ways to put your faith into action and make a difference in our community and beyond. - A Welcoming and Compassionate Community
No matter your circumstances or struggles, you are loved, accepted, and supported. We walk together in faith, knowing that God meets us where we are. - A Listening Heart
We strive to be attentive to the needs of our parish family, listening with compassion and responding with care. - Shared Responsibility in Faith
We value your ideas, your voice, and your participation in the life of our parish. Together, we build up the Body of Christ. - Faithful Stewardship and Accountability
We are deeply grateful for your offerings of time, talent, and treasure. Your financial contributions are used faithfully, transparently, and responsibly for the mission of the Church and the building of God’s Kingdom.
What we expect from our Parishioners
To Worship Faithfully
The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic life. We ask all parishioners to join us each Sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation to celebrate the Mass, unless prevented by illness or travel. In this sacred gathering, we are nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ, strengthened by the Word, and renewed in our mission to love God and neighbor.
To Grow in Faith
To be a disciple of Jesus is to be a lifelong learner of His ways. As the Lord teaches in
John 15:8 – “This is the will of my Father, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”
We invite every parishioner to take part in ongoing faith formation — through Scripture study, prayer groups, or parish programs — so that together we may grow in holiness and wisdom.
To Live in Communion
The Church is not merely a gathering of individuals but a living community united in Christ. We are called to build relationships of care, respect, and accountability. Each parishioner has a role to play in nurturing a spirit of unity and fellowship within our parish family.
To Serve with Love
Matthew 20:28 – “not to be served, but to serve.”
We are invited to follow His example by offering our time and gifts in service — whether through parish ministries, outreach, or simple acts of kindness. In serving others, we serve Christ Himself.
To Give Generously
All that we have comes from God. As faithful stewards, we return a portion of our blessings in gratitude. We encourage every parishioner to contribute financially according to their means. Your generosity enables us to care for the poor, support our ministries, and continue the mission of the Church. Every offering, large or small, is a sacred act of worship.
