Sacristans

About

By definition a “Sacristan” is defined as a “person in charge of the sacristy and church-related ceremonial equipment”. A sacristy is a room for keeping liturgical vestments (such as the priests’ albs, stoles and chasubles; and deacons’ albs, stoles and dalmatics) and other church furnishings, sacred vessels, and ritual books.

A Sacristan must be a baptised Catholic in good standing and a registered contributing member of the Parish. Knowledgeable of the liturgy rites. Able to work and communicate well with others. Be a “team member” and a “team player”. Is able to find spiritual nourishment and enrichment within the ministry.

Altar Servers

About

Serving during a church Mass can be a gift to a child, not an obligation. It should be seen as a special hour and great privilege.
Your child will do and learn things that others may never, and see the Mass in ways that others don’t.
Serving on the Altar is a great place to start building skills.
Altar Servers learn skills such as communication and team work, and gain in self confidence.
All children who have received First Holy Communion to come forward to serve as Altar Servers.
Training is arranged on a regular basis

Hospitality

About

Welcoming with the Heart of Christ

“If therefore, I the Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash the feet of one another.
For I have given you an example, that as I have done to you, so you also should do.
Amen, Amen, I say to you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.”
— John 13:14 – 16

The Hospitality Ministry draws its inspiration from Jesus’ humble act of washing His disciples’ feet—a gesture of love, service, and radical welcome. We carry this spirit into every corner of parish life, ensuring that every person who enters our church feels seen, supported, and at home.

Our ministry serves before, during, and after each liturgy, with responsibilities that include:
• 🤝 Warmly welcoming parishioners and visitors
• 📄 Distributing pamphlets and guiding people to notice boards
• ❓ Answering questions and recording enquiries
• 🪑 Assisting with seating and accessibility needs
• 💒Preparing the Offertory couple and safeguarding the gifts received
• 🕊️ Supporting the reverent distribution of the Holy Eucharist
• 🧍‍♀️ Helping the sick, elderly, and disabled with dignity and care
• 🧺 Managing lost and found items with discretion
• 🔐 Ensuring the church is left safe and secure after Mass

We also play a vital role in connecting parishioners to the leadership and administration of the parish—bridging hearts and hands in service.
A weekend schedule is prepared and reviewed weekly, allowing each minister the freedom to choose their preferred Mass. New volunteers are joyfully welcomed and scheduled according to their availability. Flexibility is key: changes are always accepted, and every contribution is valued.

Whether through a smile, a pamphlet, or a helping hand, the Hospitality Ministry embodies Christ’s call to serve with love. Join us in making our parish a place of peace, welcome, and belonging.

Music

About

We have six masses over a weekend so always in need of great voices to join the choir’s or musicians who can play the Organ or a musical instrument.

Projectionists who are comfortable with technology are invited to manage the Laptop, Powerpoint, and song remote at Mass to screen the various hymns, prayers, and announcements.

Our various Fellowship groups always require musicians to invoke the Holy Spirit into their regular meetings.
